I joined Here Comes the Stork several years ago, when my oldest daughter was an infant. I'd already been selling on ebay, but felt I had a lot to learn about children's items - my new interest. I joined with the intent to 'learn it all' in one month and then leave - ha, ha! One thing I learned is that it isn't about instant knowledge, it's about the ongoing sharing of tips, advice, and 'what-to-look-for' instantly hot items. That sense of community helped me become a Powerseller in just a few short months!
As time went by (and more little ones joined our family) I began to look beyond ebay for a source of income, and thankfully HCTS was growing right along with me. I've been able to open an Amazon store, a very successful independant website (Garden Party Teas), and work from home all with informaion that is exchanged on HCTS. Blogging - yup. Online sales - yup. Working from home - you bet.
As a busy stay-at-home, work-at-home mom I wear a lot of different hats, and I love that HCTS is the go-to 'hat rack' with information and support for every area of my life, both professional and personal. I couldn't recommend the site more highly! Definitely give it a try - you won't be sorry!

All I have to say is "THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!" Within the past 2 weeks I have been reading through the threads and have come to find out that I have missed so many things by not taking a part earlier on here. I now have a Bonanzle booth, I learned how to open a Google base for my Bonanzle booth, I learned how to upload my eBay listings to Google and have managed to sell a lot on eBay! Without all of your encouraging words, your knowledgeable advice and "been there, done that" experiences, I have become my house's computer listing fool!
I have tons of encouragement from my DH, but knowing that you guys a REALLY understand has made a huge difference!

I decided to try my hand at selling on Ebay in the fall of 2005. I was a stay-at-home mom with a 3-year-old and a 8-month-old. I sold a few of my kids' clothes and was starting to get the hang of it.
Of course, being on Ebay more meant I was doing plenty of shopping as well. I ran across a seller who had fantastic listings....great pictures, a nice template, and a well-organized store. I checked out her About Me page and found her link to Here Comes The Stork. I decided to become a member and see if I could learn how to make my listings as professional as that seller.
I joined HCTS in December 2005 and became an Ebay Powerseller by August 2006 and have been ever since. I credit my success on Ebay to being a member of HCTS. I have learned so much about selling, what items to buy, taking pictures, making listings look good, setting up and running a store....I could go on and on.
In addition, I have met a great group of women who are always ready to help out with questions and advice. I've even met a number of Storks in person and have made some wonderful, life-long friends.
