Rebecca Mitzel

HCTS owner

I am a very proud mother of three lovely girls, who are currently 13, 9, and 8. I've also been happily married to my husband for 16 years. When my oldest was born, I was working in financial services, and knew I didn't want to go back to the 9-6 grind. The internet was very new then-nothing like today! I decided to sell Longaberger baskets, and I also had an in-home daycare. Both were going great for me-I had a very successful daycare which catered to teacher's children. It was then that I began dabbling in ebay. I had stopped selling Longaberger, so I had too many baskets and not enough money. Ebay solved that problem for me!

As you can imagine, having two little ones of my own, watching a house full of kids, and trying to homeschool my older daughter was very difficult. I was overwelmed. I knew I needed to have about $200-$300 a week coming in-and I thought...could I make that on ebay? I took a leap of faith, joined Here Comes The Stork,  I closed my daycare, started selling, and achieve my financial goals and more within the first month. Within 6 months I was a powerseller and teaching people how to sell right here on HCTS. I now work where I want, when I want and give my kiddos my full attention during the day. I love ebay!! In 2009, the original Mama Stork offered to sell the site to me, and I eagerly accepted!

Heather, Moderator-contact me at Heather@herecomesthestork.com

Hi, I'm Heather, stay-at-home mom to 3 fantastic little girls. I'm an insomniac, which comes in handy because I'm also insanely busy! Besides being a moderator here, I also sell on eBay and Amazon, co-own a website with my parents, am a member of the Disney Moms Panel, a blogger, a freelance writer, and a children's clothing designer. Whew! In my 'spare' time I coach youth soccer, volunteer at our church and my daughters' schools, garden, read, and run, run, run!

I joined Here Comes The Stork years ago, when I was already a seasoned eBay seller. Like many members you'll find here, I joined with a plan to get all the good inside info the first month and then unsubscribe. Ha! What I didn't realize back then was A) How much the community would mean to me and B) How the majority of the information available comes from the community on an ongoing basis. 'Getting it all' in a month just isn't possible - and I'm so glad I stuck around long enough to see that! Even now, after selling on eBay for almost a decade, I continue to learn new things and improve my business as a direct result of HCTS. I've been a moderator here for the past several years, and now I enjoy helping others begin and grow their own home-based businesses as well!

Jaci, Moderator-contact me at Jaci@herecomesthestork.com

Hi! My name is Jaci and I'm a stay-at-home mom to my daughter and son. I enjoy hanging out with my family, shopping and running.

I first started shopping on Ebay in 2002 when my daughter was a baby and I got into cloth diapering her. I was looking for an inexpensive way to try out several styles of diapers before I committed to buying a whole bunch of any one kind. Then in 2005 after my son was born I started selling a few baby items. Soon after I found HCTS and I've been a member ever since!

Joining HCTS has been the single best "business" decision I've made. Within two weeks of signing up I had opened an Ebay store. In less than 6 months I made Powerseller and have been ever since. Hardly a day goes by that I don't learn something new or pick up a tip about something to sell from HCTS. I've been a moderator on the site for a couple years now and also maintain an Ebay store and sell on Amazon as well. I love the sense of community on the site and really enjoy helping others get started with their online business ventures.

Linda, Moderator-contact me at Linda@herecomesthestork.com

Hi, I am Linda, stay-at-home mom to our 6 year old son. We went through years of fertility treatments to have him and after 12 rounds of IVF we were blessed with our miracle. I always said that after everything that we did to have a baby that when we were successful I would be staying home so that I could cherish each and every moment of being a mom. I am so blessed and would not change a thing! I started selling on eBay in 2007 to get rid of baby items that we no longer needed and was immediately hooked. How can you not love turning unused things that are just laying around the house into cash? Plus, it fulfilled a need to do something to contribute to the family income while still being home.

I found HCTS within about 6 months after I started selling but was not very forum savvy and did not visit the message boards until early 2009. Little did I know what I had been missing!!! I learn something new each and every day. I have an eBay store, am a top-rated seller and also dabble on Amazon. This is by far the best group that I have had the privilege of knowing. I have learned more than I ever imagined and have made great friends along the way..

Xochilt, Moderator-contact me at xochilt@herecomesthestork.com

Hi, my name is Xochilt. I'm a stay at home mom of three beautiful kiddos ages 8, 3 and 2. I homeschool my kids and love to read in my spare time.

I've sold on eBay since early 2006 when I was pregnant with my son. I started by selling things around my house and really had no clue what I was doing. I ran into an auction by an HCTS member that talked about this site on her "About Me" page. I signed up and I was hooked! I learned so much from everyone here and still do every single day. I left Real Estate to stay home permanently after I started making enough money to help with the household expenses. I am currently a Power Seller on eBay and recently started selling on Amazon.

Finding HCTS was such a huge blessing in so many ways! I've gotten great business advice and I've made great friends! I love being able to pay it forward by helping others achieve their goals!
